During perimenopause and menopause, fluctuating estrogen and progesterone directly affect the nervous system. This can make your stress response more sensitive, reduce resilience, and increase symptoms like anxiety, sleep disruption, irritability, brain fog, and feeling “on edge” or unlike yourself. Many women notice that strategies that used to work—pushing through, staying busy, positive thinking—no longer bring relief.

In our work together, we use:

  • Breathwork to support vagal tone and calm an overactive stress response

  • Nervous system recovery practices that help your body complete stress cycles and return to regulation more efficiently

  • Somatic movement, using slow, intentional motion to retrain safety, improve body awareness, and reduce chronic tension
