Bodywork.

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, light-touch somatic therapy that supports the central and autonomic nervous systems. Using subtle contact with the body, this work helps release patterns of tension and holding within the fascia, connective tissues, spine, and nervous system, supporting relaxation, regulation, and the body’s natural capacity for healing. Sessions are deeply calming and restorative. While fully clothed and resting comfortably on a treatment table, many people notice sensations of softening, warmth, emotional release, grounding, or deep stillness within the body. Because the work follows the pacing and responses of your individual nervous system, each session is unique.

This work is especially supportive for chronic stress, nervous system dysregulation, trauma, and CPTSD. Rooted in trauma-informed care, sessions prioritize safety, choice, and nervous system awareness rather than force, overwhelm, or reliving painful experiences. CranioSacral Therapy works directly with the felt sense of the body, helping shift patterns of tension, hypervigilance, shutdown, and survival responses while supporting greater resilience, emotional integration, and embodied presence. Many people notice improved sleep, reduced stress and tension, increased body awareness, and a growing ability to move from activation into restoration more easily.

One of the most common misconceptions about CranioSacral Therapy is that gentle work cannot create profound change. In reality, the nervous system often responds more effectively to subtle, attuned support than forceful intervention. Healing through this work is often gradual and integrative, unfolding over time as the body develops greater capacity for safety, regulation, and ease. Whether experienced as occasional support or as part of a long-term embodiment and healing practice, CranioSacral Therapy creates space for the body and nervous system to reconnect with balance, wholeness, and rest.

Medical Massage.

Medical massage has a focus on a particular area of discomfort. This discomfort may reside in the body or mind. The techniques used may be the same as a relaxation or deep tissue massage, however they are applied with a specific goal such as alleviating chronic or acute pain or activating the parasympathetic nervous system. Medical massage may also incorporate therapeutic bodywork techniques not found in traditional massage. Medical Massage includes an assessment of the craniosacral system.

———————————-

Joint Joint is the brainchild of a massage therapist, Jacqui Bauers, whose many years of experience educated her in the challenges people face in maintaining balance and optimal well-being in the body and mind. Ironically, those years of experience were earned by placing an intense demand on her own body while providing relief to her clients.
